How we review software

compare-saas.net compares software for course creators using current product information and direct vendor sources.

Product information

We check pricing, features, integrations, platform support and team fit against vendor websites and help centres. Source links appear beside the relevant details so readers can check important claims directly.

Unknown does not mean no

We record a detail as unknown when we do not have adequate source evidence. Unknown is an evidence gap, not evidence that a product lacks a feature. Only an explicit, sourced negative is shown as “No”. Unknown facts do not satisfy required filters or earn ranking points, but we do not treat them as negative product claims.

How ranking scores work

Each use-case guide defines required filters and a set of weighted criteria. A product is eligible only when every required filter is verified and matched. For each ranking criterion, it receives that criterion’s weight when the underlying fact is verified and matches; otherwise it receives zero points. In compact form: score = Σ(weight × verified-match), where verified-match is 1 only for a verified match and 0 otherwise. The maximum score is the sum of all criterion weights.

We also show evidence coverage: verified criteria ÷ total criteria × 100. A product must meet the guide’s minimum evidence threshold, and products whose coverage is too far behind the best-covered result are withheld from that ranking. Ties are resolved by evidence count and then product name. Commercial relationships do not influence criteria, weights or ordering.

Keeping pages current

Product information changes frequently. Dates shown beside sources indicate when we last checked a detail, and buyers should confirm pricing and essential workflows with the vendor before purchasing.

Affiliate links

We may earn a commission when a reader buys through some vendor links. Eligible links are labelled, and commission arrangements do not affect our recommendations.
